A History of the World was written by Donn Crilly to provide insight into world and cultural events, from the earliest beginnings of humankind to just after World War II. Donn is a retired vascular surgeon with a deep interest in history, cultures, and languages. The original manuscript, which was in excess of 525,000 words and 1,200 pages, took over twenty years to write and about a year to copyedit, with meetings every two to three weeks. The book was produced print-on-demand as a stamped cloth-bound hardcover with dust jacket. The final page count was 1,082, our longest book to date.
